Magazine development

I will put all of my ideas for my magazine cover in this post, including masthead, coverlines,  and possible layout/image. I will also reflect on my decisions as they evolve

Magazine genre: Fashion and lifestyle

Sub-Genre: Beauty and lifestyle

Possible names: 

-Whimsical Romance

-Lace and love

-Blooming bouquet

-Divine Feminine

-Heart and Haute

Here are possible names for my magazine, and im targeting mainly woman from the age 16 to 30, with interest in fashion, feminity, beauty, and coquette core. And i think Divine Feminine is good for the masthead as it emphasize femininity and embracing the aesthetic of dollete and coquette where its appealing for coquette dollete enthusiasm. On second thought im also considering Blooming Bouquet as it sounds pretty and cute as the masthead, but it doesnt really add any meaning to the magazine, so i stick with 'Divine Feminine' for my magazine masthead.

- "Whimsical Romance: A Coquette Dollete Journey" 

- "Heart & Haute: A Coquette Dollete Adventure" 

I like the idea of empasizing feminity and a journey of it, and this masthead highlights the romantic and whimsical elements of the coquette aesthetic, while also incorporating the stylish and fashionable aspects of the dollete theme.

-Guide to be more feminine and soft

-Channeling Elle Woods energy

Im gonna be using all these coverlines on my magazine as its relevant to the content of the article, and i like putting the name of our star appeal where it aligns with Blumler's Uses and Gratification personal identity, by the influence of celebrity or role model will be appealing to the audience. I also like the "Channeling Elle Woods energy" headlines as Elle woods known as a very feminine girl where it can be inspiration for woman and how to use feminine energy to attract where it essentials for a journey to be a dolllete lady.

I like the idea of only one model for the front page because i dont want audience to get distracted by too many object in the front page but instead only in one object that audience can be focused on, so i prefer the first one, not only that, i will have more space for the coverlines.

Here is the example of the layout applied with real model picture, i try to use this font and my teacher gave me a feedback about how he can't really see clearly what the masthead is and asked to change the font, also the coverlines are too many and somehow too long.

So i change i coverline for the shorter one and lessen it, i also change the font of the masthead so the audience can see it clearly, i asked my friends and teacher and they said this one is better because  the coverlines are balanced, 2 on the right side and 2 on the other side, and they can read the masthead clearly.

I decided to colour the coverlines into pink and white to math the colourboard, and change the font to eliminate monotonization and make it more beautiful too look at, i also add an angel element to make it even prettier, also added barcode, magazine price, and issue of number. However i feel satisfied with this one.

This is the second layout where the model being together, its hard to put the coverlines because there is not too many space and i got feedback from my teacher that the masthead also cant be seen clearly.

So i decided to change the font 

i also add an angel element to make it look prettier, but i dont really like this layout as it doesnt have much space for me to put coverlines.
